Physical and Health Education 10 course is divided into the following units of study:
Physical Education: Course Percentage: 60%
- Participation in a minimum of 70 hours of physical activity in the activity categories of individual and dual activities, games activities and rhythmic movement activities.
- The expectation is that you participate weekly, and continually, in a range of physical activities for at least 2.5 hours each week, this includes during holidays ( If you participate in more hours each week you could be done the physical activity portion of the course sooner.)
- Participation in physical activity is from the date of registration in the course onward, as per the ministry requirements.
- Related Written work: Tracking your participation in physical activity, and reflecting on related physical and health education topics.
- Physical Activities that cannot be tracked for this course: 1) Physical activity occurring during another school course, in which you are receiving credit such as dance or musical theatre. 2) Physical activity related to domestic chores, yard work, moving and certain jobs as they do not meet the course learning outcomes. (i.e.heavylifting, chopping wood, walking to the mall, shopping, etc.). 3) Physical activity that occurred prior to your registration in this course. 4) Physical activities that are sustained for less than 20-30 minutes.

Registration process:
- For students new to The Link, and those who are returning and now registering for PHE 10: All of the required documentation (registration forms, copy of birth certificate, passport or landed immigrant card, and proof of residency) must be submitted to the office. The following link titled "Registration Package" will take you to the registration forms and related information: Registration Package
- Once the complete registration is submitted to the office, and they have shared it with me, I will then email you the first/initial assignment.
- Note: students are not actually registered in the course until I have received the completed first/initial assignment.
